Rabbi Lucas' Israel Sabbatical Blog
Follow the travels of Rabbi Alan Lucas on his 2010 Israel Sabbatical Blog. He is participating in the Hartman Institute Rabbinic Leadership Initiative. This is an intensive three-year program that trains an elite cadre of North American rabbis to serve as religious and educational leaders in their communities. We tenderly embrace and lovingly hold it as we recite Yizkor on Yom Kippur, Sukkot, Pesach, and Shavout.   • Rabbi Ario S. & Tess Hyams Judaica Museum Join us for our newest exhibition Shomrei Adamah: Keepers of the Earth Hanging on the walls at Temple Beth Sholom is the creative work of one of our very own teachers, Hava Shilon. Hava is a fifth generation Sabra, she arrived to the USA from Israel in 1985 with her husband and three children. Her tenure at the Witzo France Art School, The Shenkar Art School and Tel Aviv University broadend her artistic horizon and deepened her commitment to the environment. Hava believes "if you teach young & old how to conserve through art, you will make a colorful, memorable and lasting experience." (opened Friday, March 26)
