About Us

Temple Beth Sholom is a warm and inclusive congregation whose members are inspired to explore and express Judaism within the broad and dynamic framework of Conservative beliefs and practices. We seek to provide Jewish spiritual, educational and social opportunities which encourage personal development and social responsibility as well as promote greater knowledge of our Jewish history and culture. For over 50 years, Beth Sholom has been caring for its congregants and its community. The services, programs and activities we provide are second to none. The leadership is committed to making our Temple a place where everyone can learn, grow, gather and laugh with others.

Our mission is to offer an experience of spiritual and intellectual engagement to our developing community, and to respond to the deepest hopes and aspirations of our congregation.

Our purpose is to provide an environment in which people will find peace, healing, and retreat from the hectic pace of their daily lives.

Our mission is to strengthen our expanding community by providing a source of enduring meaning and purpose as we actually live the experience of divinity.

Our approach combines the traditional tenets of Judaism -- rituals, beliefs, holidays, customs, prohibitions, admonitions, and philosophies -- with vital, unconstrained, and creative innovation.

Through prayer, meditation, music, song, dance, and above all else, love, our intent is to bring to people's consciousness the living, breathing, aliveness of their spirit. As an inclusive and welcoming community we are seeking to live life ethically, affirmatively, and with an ever-present awareness of the holiness of every moment and the sanctity of every event.
